Refund Policy

1. Overview

Smenpay is committed to ensuring secure and transparent transactions through our escrow-based money transfer platform. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which users may request refunds and how such requests are processed.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued under the following conditions:

The recipient has not accepted or confirmed the transaction.
The transaction was canceled before funds were released from escrow.
A dispute was resolved in favor of the sender.
A technical error (e.g., duplicate charge, failed transaction) occurred during payment processing.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

Funds have already been released from escrow and the transaction is marked as complete.
The user provided incorrect recipient details.
The refund request is made after the refund window has expired (see Section 5).
The transaction violates our Terms and Conditions or involves fraudulent activity.

4. Refund Process

To request a refund, users must:

Submit a refund request via the Smenpay app or website.
Provide transaction details and reason for the request.
Cooperate with any verification or dispute resolution process.
Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days after approval. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used.

5. Refund Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original transaction date. Requests made after this period may not be eligible.

6. Dispute Resolution

If a transaction is disputed, Smenpay will hold the funds in escrow until the issue is resolved. Both parties must provide evidence. Refunds will be issued based on the outcome of the dispute.
